Selected Pics (16)We arrived in San Juan at approximately 7am. We weren't planning to do a disembarkation tour, but my plans fell through with my co-workers and it was a rainy day to pay $100 for beach access. The Courtyard Marriott offers rooms at a discounted rate during the day for $100 per room - like a day pass. The Caribe Hilton offers something similar for $45 per person. checking other hotels as well.
Anyway, it was a good thing I double-checked with my coworkers before we left the port. Instead of catching a cab and being stuck somewhere, we caught a tour for like $20pp. That kept us out of the rain, ensured a place for our luggage, and the rain even let up enough for us to enjoy the fort and a courtyard lunch in Old San Juan. And the tour concluded at the airport, so no additional taxi fare. A nice day on the beach would have been nice but honestly it all worked out great nonetheless.
